Floritas in Newcastle is a sassy Miami bar with a tropical garden, the decor is fab with artwork of pin up style girls with huge eyes and intricate tattoos. It serves amazing cocktails (If you order the “Choconut” it’s served in a real coconut!) all in a chilled out fun loving sexy atmosphere. They had a dude playing bongos when we went and the garden had a botanical glow with a wooden frames, swinging seats, a barbeque and fake exotic foliage. Unfortunately I came home only to realise their website is pretty shocking! But heres a taster pic to wet your appetite..

Jasper Goodall: The work is playful and sexual and is about disguise, masking, dressing up and presenting a face. Fantastical illustrated bodies are held up in front of real models, and the resulting photograph is both fantasy and reality, illustrationand photography. The images have a strong nod toward fetishism, lots of shiny rubber and gloopy gloss, and a sense of anonymity through the use of masks.

The CLOUD proposes an entirely new form of observation deck, connecting visitors to both the whole of London and the whole of the world, immersing them in euphoric gusts of weather and digital data. Each individual footstep on the ascent to the CLOUD participates in a vast collective energy-harvesting effort. Everyone around the world can contribute to the Cloud – whether by visiting or by sponsoring an LED, helping to keep the London lamp aflame.
