Anagrama are a brand and design agency based in Mexico.
Sofia is a building designed by architect Cesar Pelli for One Development Group located in San Pedro, Mexico.
Anagrama explain what they regarded as the three key aspects of their thinking around this brand project.
Logotype: the keys and the coat of arms are inspired by San Pedro’s coat of arms.
Typography: we developed a custom typeface designed especially for Sofia, it is inspired by british san serifs.
Layout: the text and information arrangement is inspired by the typographical treatment used before grids were popularized by the swiss grid system.

The Plant - Jamie Oliver’s new restaurant: Union Jacks
Really admire the identity from London based agency The Plant for Jamie Olivers new venture in restaurants. Taking inspiration from British post-war youth rebellion, the designs leak references to fish and chip shops, greasy spoons and english pubs!

Randomly booked a four night trip to Budapest in May. Flights were an amazing £45 return and because Hungary has its own currency we’ve managed to book at stay at boutique design b&b Brody House for only £55 a night!! Amazeballs.
I must admit, I didn’t know too much about Hungary but on delving deeper (past the Ryan Air flights which first tempted me!) it appeared that Budapest has a thriving design scene and hub of creativity including their own Design Market. Described as Paris and Berlins lovechild… I can’t wait!!

Light Forest
Wall and ceiling lighting system Light Forest is the brain child of young Dutch design duo Ontwerpduo. The design consists of different parts, which can be connected to ceilings or walls, step by step the lighting system will “grow” across the space with endless possibilities.
